J. Randall Keene,
Chairman, President & CEO of WellSpring Pharmaceutical Corporation.
Mr. Keene has over 25 years of experience in a variety of executive positions in sales, finance and operations management. In conjunction with the formation of Ancor, Mr. Keene served as Chief Executive Officer of Avail Medical Products, Inc., creating one of the world's largest outsource manufacturers with 13 locations and 4,000 employees serving most of the largest OEMs.
Mr. Keene serves as a director of Carex Health Brands, Inc., FCA Packaging, and Spencer N. Enterprises, Inc. He is a member of the Young President's Organization and was named to Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry magazine's "100 Notable People" list for his significant contributions to the medical device industry.
Mr. Keene graduated with a B.B.A. with honors from the University of Texas Arlington.
Bonnie L. Feeney,
President & COO, WellSpring Pharmaceutical Canada Corporation
Bonnie has over 25 years experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of senior positions, most recently as Vice President of Technical Operations with Roberts/Shire. Prior to that appointment, Ms. Feeney had several years of experience with Searle Monsanto as Business Unit Director for the Canadian Operations Division.
She is currently responsible for all facets of the Canadian business, including developing strategies and implementing business plans related to the Contract Manufacturing Operation, executing agreements and ensuring that clients are provided with the outsourcing solution to meet their individual company need.
James Booker,
Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs
James has worked in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and regulatory affairs for over 19 years. Prior to joining WellSpring in 2001, James worked for companies such as Searle Canada, GenPharm Inc., Roberts Pharmaceuticals, Shire Canada, and Altana Canada.
James attended McMaster University and graduated with a B.Sc. in Chemistry in 1990. He is an active member of the Pharmaceutical Science Group and the Canadian Association of Professional Regulatory Affairs.
In his role as Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, James is responsible for ensuring the continued cGMP compliance of the Oakville facility and is part of WellSpring's senior management team. James has led the organization through several key milestones such as successful Health Canada and FDA regulatory inspections, and he continues to play a leadership role regarding strategic company initiatives.
Joe Salmon,
Director, Plant Operations
Joe has been with WellSpring Pharmaceutical Canada Corp. since its inception in June of 2001. He has over 26 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, and has held progressively senior management positions in Quality Assurance and Compliance with a number of leading pharmaceutical companies in Canada. In 2001, Joe began leading the Plant Operations team. He received an Honour's Diploma from Seneca College in Biological Research Technology, and later received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Waterloo.
Vladimir (Vlad) Spehar,
Associate Director, Business Development
Vlad is the Associate Director, Business Development at WellSpring Pharmaceutical. In his 18+ years experience within the pharmaceutical industry, Vlad has worked extensively with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to develop long-term, cost-effective solutions for their clinical and commercial products.
He has an Honors degree from Brock University, and a Key Account Management Certificate from the Schulich School of Business (York University). Since 1996, he has been an Accredited Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Representative.
Vlad has served as the Chair of the Canadian Clinical Supplies Association (CCSA), and is a member of the Investigational Products Community of Practice within the ISPE. In addition, he has provided insight to the Economic Development Office on the feasibility of a Biosciences and Technology Park in Oakville. He provides mentoring to unemployed Health Sciences professionals at Sheridan College.
