The WellSpring Story
In 2001, Dr. Vukovich acquired the facility and began contract manufacturing under the WellSpring name. Dr. Vukovich brought years of pharmaceutical experience to the table. In fact, in his career he was personally responsible for the development and commercialization of 40 new chemical entities.
Since 2001, WellSpring has established itself as a leader in contract manufacturing. It has gained 50 new clients and has acquired 90% repeat business. Today, WellSpring provides clinical and commercial manufacturing of solids, semi-solids, and non-sterile liquids as well as packaging in a variety of presentations. At the heart of WellSpring's success are highly skilled and experienced pharmaceutical professionals who understand all aspects of your business.

- Key WellSpring Dates
- 1971: G.D. Searle & Co. build a facility on 9.28 acres in Oakville, Ontario.
- 1994: Oakville facility becomes 1 of 3 Worldwide Clinical Services sites under G.D. Searle & Co.
- 1997: Roberts Pharmaceutical acquires facility.
- 1999: Roberts Pharmaceutical merges with Shire.
- 2001: WellSpring acquires facility from Shire. Starts CMO business.
